DO WHAT THEY SAY AND KEEP DOING IT.

All to often people are moving out of one strategy to move into the "secret" strategy they think will make them successful.  Its like taking a recipe that makes the most delicious meal and messing with it. The ingredients are already there.  Have you ever said, I hate onions, only to find out that your favorite dish is cooked with onions?  Sometimes you have to have the onions mixed in there to get the best final result. The dish would 't be the same without the onions. [Can you tell I'm not a huge fan of onions? But, I know that onions are what put that little extra something something into some of my favorite dishes.]

Its simple, but not easy. Often when things seem difficult or feel like they aren't working, All too often new real estate agents I've worked with don't give the activity enough time to work.

When I first started, I interviewed several top real estate agents in my field. Their message was very similar regarding the activity I should be filling my schedule with. After months of no results I mentioned to one agent my frustration and how uncertain I was feeling about things. He told me, "You're doing all the right things. You just need to be patient, give it some time and don't give up."  He was right. Had I quit or changed courses then, I would have ruined all the hard work and investment I had put into the activities I was doing. As I was consistently doing the same activities, I was perfecting everything about it. I was increasing my activities and creating systems and models around them. I had a kit in my car for things I found I needed and was prepared for anything. Eventually the stream began to flow... slowly and than, eventually steadily. I noticed, when I slowed or stopped my activities, that stream started to dry up.

The lesson learned is don't give up. Great things take a lot of hard work and perserverence. Most real estate agents fail because they quit.
